Who is the course suitable for?
Warehouse Operatives work in a variety of warehouse environments. Work activities include taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning. They are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting. This could include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or fork lift trucks.

Course delivery and assessment
Month 1-5
- Induction day to include assessment of Maths and English
- Functional Skills workshops to be completed if applicable
- Fork Lift Truck practical Training
- Core knowledge questions classroom based
Month 5-9
- Observation of performance in workplace
- Review of questions set classroom
- Functional Skills Workshop
- Functional Skills Exams
Month 9-10
- Classroom based training core knowledge
- Review of questions set classroom based
Month 10-12
- End point assessment (independent assessor)
- Successful completion
