If driving for hire and reward, you will need a Driver Qualification Card (DQC). To gain this, you will need either initial or periodic CPC. Initial CPC is for those who passed a car test after the 1st January 1997. People who passed before 1st January 1997 have the option to do either.

CPC can be gained at anytime during your training once the provisional has been added.
