The board of Banbury United are delighted to announce that JLD Driver Training will be extending their sponsorship of the club’s King’s Sutton End Terrace until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Mark Allitt, United’s Commercial Director, was delighted to see JLD extend their commitment to the club and commented “I’m really pleased to have JLD extending their sponsorship package with us and to have another member of our sponsorship portfolio extend their current deal. It gives the club assurances to plan ahead and I’m extremely grateful to the directors of JLD for supporting us for the next two years.”

JLD Driver Training Ltd have successfully become a Main Provider for the delivery of the Governments new Trailblazer Apprenticeships that start in May 2017. This means JLD can deliver apprenticeship training to employers that will use the apprenticeship service to pay for apprenticeship training.
JLD Driver Training will be delivering Trailblazers in the following areas:
- Large Goods Vehicle Drive
- Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
- The Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
- Express Delivery/Courier
JLD will work with employers to look at training needs within their business. As each Trailblazer has its own scheme of work and must include industry related training,JLD can include: Cat C, Initial Driver CPC (Mod 2&4), Periodic Driver CPC, ADR Training and Forklift Truck Licence (Counter Balance/Reach) as part of the training on offer.

Safe Urban Driving (SUD) is essential training for all commercial drivers operating HGVs and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) regularly in the urban environment and where there are high volumes of vulnerable road users, such as cyclists and pedestrians. SUD Training is Driver CPC accredited and fully aligned to meet the requirements of:
- Work Related Road Risk (WRRR)
- Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) Silver level
- Construction Logistics & Cyclist Safety (CLOCS) Standard
