Who should attend:

  Those who wish to upgrade their LGV licence in order to tow a trailer, either articulated or drawbar

Our aims:

  To educate you in the disciplines needed to pass the DSA practical driving test Category C+E

Objectives:

  To further develop and hone your existing skills
  To understand and practice the principles of defensive driving techniques
  To learn the methods of hazard risk assessment
  To make proper use of the mirrors
  To practice the skills needed to safely manoeuvre a large goods vehicle and trailer
  To make progress in a smooth manner
  To understand the importance of vehicle safety checks
  To practice the principles of reversing a large vehicle in a restricted space
  To understand the characteristics associated with driving a large vehicle and trailer in a safe and controlled manner
  To safely uncouple and recouple a trailer
